I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life!!
I have been waiting for this weekend for what seems like forever. I got the chance to sing a song I wrote called, “Let’s Get This Party Started.” It was an amazing moment when time stood still.
This weekend was amazing and I had so much fun. When I got up on the stage and began to sing the adrenaline in my body was so high I felt as thought I could have performed for three or four hours. Before I got up on stage was the first time that I have ever had butterflies before I performed.
On Friday night, I got to go back stage and meet all of the cast for Disney on Ice. They were all so nice and they could all skate so well. It is so cool to be able to say that I know the Mad Hatter, Aladdin, and Mickey Mouse. When I met Mr. Rodrick Jeter (the show’s Promoter) I knew immediately that he and I were going to be friends. He took time to get to know me and my family and make us feel so at home among the cast. He has such a great personality and was able to help me relax and know I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.
I am so happy I get to go next week to Charlotte, NC. I get to go on a mini tour with the same cast I was with in Nashville. They were all so nice and welcomed me with open arms into their “cast” family. They even taught me what they say to each other at the beginning of a show…”Have a good one!” I so enjoyed being a part of Disney on Ice presents: Celebrations.
After I had finished performing I knew without a doubt entertaining was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The way I fed off the energy of the crowd and the way people were participating with me while I was singing, put an energy level inside ME I had never felt before. It was so cool to know a song I wrote was such a big way to get the party started! Hopefully we can find a way to put the song on the website soon so you can download it!
